Jay is a General Partner at Basis Ventures and has been with the firm since 1998.
Previously, Jay was a Managing Director at the investment banking firm of Krick Van Laan and led the firm’s Software and Internet banking practices, where he underwrote numerous successful hi tech IPOs.
Before joining Krick Van Laan, Jay worked in management consulting at the firm of Redmond, Redmond and Richards.
Jay focuses primarily on software and technology enabled services. He is currently on the board of directors of ThoughtStorm, SnapZ and Plaba Systems.
He received a B.S. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
