Ted is a Venture Partner at Basis Ventures and has been with the firm since 2000.
Previously, he was founder and CEO of VALeDiction, the revolutionary company in the speech recognition space. VALeDiction was acquired by Microsoft for the largest sum ever paid by them for a private company.
He is the author of Valley Venture: The Story of VALeDiction, a history of the company and his role in it.
Ted’s investment focus is in the life sciences area–with an emphasis on biomedical appliances–and software and services. He is currently on the board of directors of Feedbridge, Oba, Roolith and NeuroStimix.
He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
